Summary

Mr. Ikem Kenneth was born on the 8th day of February, 1957 at Ekwuoma, Ika North East Local Government Area of Delta State. He had his Primary Education at Anwufa Primary School, Ekwuoma, Ika North East Local Government Area of Delta State and Secondary Education at Urhonigbe Grammar School, Urhonigbe, Edo State between 1974 and 1979. He attended College of Education, Igueben, Edo State from where he obtained his National Certificate in Education (NCE) History/Geography combination in 1983.

He is the sitting Dean, School of Arts and Social Sciences. He holds a Bachelor Degree in Geography Education (Second Class Upper Division) from the University of Benin and a Master’s Degree in Social Studies Education, also from the same University. He is a Principal Lecturer of the Department of Social Studies.

Mr. Ikem started his teaching career from Agbor Nta Grammar School, Agbor Nta in 1985 and later in Marymount College, Boji Boji Owa, Agbor in Ika North East Local Government Area of Delta State between 1991 and 1999.

In 1999, He was employed into the Department of Social Studies, College of Education, Warri as a Lecturer III Officer and has risen consistently to the rank of a Principal Lecturer.

He has attended a number of conferences and workshops and has well over 15 published articles in learned Journals as well as some textbooks to his credit. He is a member of so many Professional Bodies and he lectures in the Delta State University affiliate Programme with College of Education, Warri. He supervises students’ projects and Teaching Practice as well as provides counselling to students on academic matters.
    
Mr. Ikem Kenneth is an External Moderator to the Department of Social Studies, College of Education, Mosogar.
