Dr. (Mrs.) Okpetu Ijeoma Winifred was born on the 5th of March 1962 at Jos Pleatue State, to late Obazei, L.C. and madam Obazei, J.K. of Ubulu-Uku in Anioch North Local Government Area of Delta State.

Her educational career stated at St. Charles Primary School Ubulu-Uku, she attended Mary Mount College, Agbor, where she got obtained West African School Certificate WAEC in 1979 and then proceeded to College of Education, Agbor, where she obtained National Certificate in Education (NCE) in 1984 and B.Sc (Ed) in Home Economics from Delta State University, Abraka in 1990. Then in 2001 she obtained her Masters in Home Economics Education from University of Nigeria, Nsukka. Then, her Ph.D in Home Economics Education in 2017 from University of Benin, Benin City.

She is currently lecturing in College of Education, Warri in Home Economics Department as a Chief Lecturer. She has published many articles on Home Economics and related studies both National and International.

Dr. Ijeoma is an active member of some professional association such as Home Economics Teacher Association of Nigeria (HETAN) Science Teachers Association of Nigeria (STAN), Nigeria Home Economics Research Association (NHERA) and others.  She has trained Food Handlers from Peamos Hotels, NNPC, Shell and Chevron companies and has also acted as resource person on food and related issues in the above named companies.

Dr. (Mrs.) Okpetu Ijeoma Winifred belong to some non-profitable organizations such as Human Right Organization, Warri Chapter, Crime Prevention Organization Warri Chapter.  SHe is happily married and blessed with children.
